Product Q&A

Common questions about InnerLok products, fitment, installation, and use.

  1. GooseLok/LokJaw Products

Why does the lock head spin when the lock is engaged?

The rotating lock head is an intentional part of the LokJaw design. When locked, the head can rotate independently rather than remaining fixed in position. This does not indicate that the lock is loose or improperly engaged.

  2. GooseLok/LokJaw Products

Why is there a small gap when the lock is engaged?

A small amount of clearance is intentional. Receiver dimensions and finishes can vary slightly between manufacturers, including differences caused by paint, coatings, and manufacturing tolerances. LokJaw is designed with clearance to accommodate these variations while maintaining proper engagement of the locking mechanism.

  3. GooseLok/LokJaw Products

Why doesn't the lock have a dust cover, and can one be added?

LokJaw is designed for outdoor use without a separate dust cover. For best performance, wipe away excessive mud, road salt, sand, or other debris before inserting the key. Periodic maintenance of the lock mechanism is also recommended to help maintain smooth operation.
